Lean 5S Course for Manufacturing

5S is a methodology used for workplace management and improvement in Lean Manufacturing.  The foundation of modern factory and lean management practices such JIT, Kanban, Single Piece Flow, Poka Yoke, SMED, etc are based on 5S. It is aimed to improve organizational efficiency through reduction in waste, improved quality, optimization productivity and improved safety.

5S can be considered as a Five Stage approach with each S representing a stage. In Japanese it is called as seiri, seiton, seisō, seiketsu, and shitsuke.

In simple words, they are Sort, Store, Shine, Standardize and Sustain.
